“Entrée” – Floor Sculpture for Schloss Burg, Solingen
An art-in-architecture project by Svenja Teichert and Deborah Wargon for Schloss Burg in Solingen, 10 × 3 m.
As winners of the art-in-architecture competition held by the cities of Solingen, Wuppertal, and Remscheid in 2023, we were able to realize the floor sculpture “Entrée.”
On a plinth in front of the castle, a historic dance notation is depicted on a dance floor, complemented by the corresponding melody in the form of musical notation. A QR code guides visitors to an audio rendering of the composition.
Visitors are invited to dance.
